Marie Stirling has worked as a Speech Language Pathologist in Newfoundland for 29 years. The first eight years of her career were spent in the healthcare field, working primarily with preschoolers. For the last 21 years, she has been in the education system, working with students in Kindergarten to Grade 12, with the primary focus on grades K to 6. Marie has worked with students with a variety of communication disorders, and has a particular interest, and extensive experience, in the areas of Autism Spectrum Disorder and Augmentative and Alternative Communication.
This webinar is the second in a 2-part series focused on supporting communication skills in learners with ASD and diverse needs. Part 1 in this series, Augmentative and Alternative Communication, took place in January 2020.
