Introduction to Canada Video Relay Service (Canada VRS)

( View ASL )

Community Partner Information Session

Canada VRS is a telecommunication service that allows Deaf and hard of hearing Canadians to make telephone calls using internet and cell phone-based technologies. VRS callers are connected with a sign language interpreter who provides real time interpretation for telephone calls. Children and youth who are Deaf or hard of hearing can develop their confidence and independence learning how to access this valuable communication tool. Join Jo-Anne Bryan, Canada VRS Community Outreach Specialist and Jax Warner, APSEA ASL Specialist to learn more about this service.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Set up the App on their mobile devices for quick and easy access
  • Meet and communicate with a Canada VRS Outreach Specialist and an APSEA ASL Specialist
