A nature walk is a fun learning opportunity for children to explore and familiarize themselves with the living and non-living things in the environment. Have a walk around your yard or neighbourhood, and use your senses to explore and identify different things in nature!

Family on a Nature Walk

This activity provides children with the opportunity to use all their senses to experience and explore their natural environment. It is also an opportunity to learn and apply their knowledge about many basic concepts like size, colour, positions, textures, and sounds.

Get outdoors and through this activity develop skills in the areas of Compensatory Access, Sensory Efficiency, Orientation and Mobility, Independent Living, and of course, Recreation & Leisure.
