To be as independent as possible, it is important to identify barriers, which exist at school and within the community. Together we will explore strategies, tools, and methods for effective advocacy. Students will work collaboratively with their peers to generate solutions for accessibility challenges and identify ways to generalize these solutions into their context.

In this workshop, students will have the opportunity to:

  • Identify accessibility challenges (e.g., built environment, technology, core curriculum, etc.)
  • Generate possible solutions to accessibility challenges
  • Share accessibility successes and challenges with peers
