Finding Wheels: Strategies to Build Independent Travel Skills for Those with Visual Impairments

( View ASL )

Join us for this exciting Orientation and Mobility based learning opportunity. Finding Wheels is a one-hour per week, 12-week, online Orientation and Mobility program for blind and visually impaired students in grades 9 and up. Students will participate in group discussions that allow them to reflect and explore various topics related to traveling as a nondriver. The purpose of Finding Wheels is to improve travelers’ skills and to address the social and emotional aspects of traveling with a visual impairment. The new Finding Wheels program contains scenarios of travelers that are up to date for 2020.
