Program Advisory Committee (Parent Representative)

The APSEA Program Advisory Committee (PAC) provides expertise and support, through the Superintendent to the Board of Directors, on matters related to APSEA programs and services for children and youth who are blind, visually impaired, Deaf, or hard of hearing and on matters relating to Autism in Education (AIE).

The Committee is comprised of parent representatives, staff from the Departments of Education and Early Childhood Development/Early Years of Atlantic Canada and APSEA staff.

The Committee currently has an available opportunity for one (1) Parent Representative (a parent/guardian of a child or youth who is Deaf/hard of hearing, currently receiving services from APSEA).

Parents/guardians of children receiving services from APSEA can apply to be a member of the Program Advisory Committee. The term for parent representatives with the Committee is two years. Meetings are held weekdays with approximately 3-4 meetings (or as required) held during the school year.
