Spoken Language Services at APSEA

Requests for Spoken Language services can be made by APSEA staff on the APSEA database following the same process as requesting an ASL interpreter, however under “Type of Service” you can select “Spoken Language Services (Other than English)”.

APSEA’s Accessibility Services Department’s ASL Interpreting Coordinator, can schedule Spoken Language (ex: Arabic, Somali, Farsi etc.) services with partnered agencies across the four Atlantic Provinces.

To make a spoken language request the Interpreting Coordinator will need the client names (learner/family members), their phone number, requested language, address, and zoom link (if applicable). In-person services may be limited by geography dependent on interpreter availability in those specific areas.

Please give as much notice as possible when requesting spoken language services, as we may require at least 3-5 business days to process the request.
