Community Partner Information Session

Janice Gavin and Brian Yee, APSEA Counsellors, invite you to attend a presentation from Society for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Nova Scotians (SDHHNS). Join Frank O’Sullivan of SDHHNS to learn more about the services and programs available to Nova Scotians. Society of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Nova Scotians (SDHHNS) is a nonprofit organization serving the approximately 58,000 people who are Deaf and hard of hearing, deaf-blind and late deafened in the province of Nova Scotia. Incorporated in 1980, the Society is mandated to develop and manage coordinated services to assist people who are Deaf and hard of hearing, deaf-blind and late deafened in gaining full access to public, private and community services. Participants will gain knowledge of the referral process as well as the services that are available. This session would be suitable for parents and caregivers, as well as APSEA staff and school based educational partners, who are interested in learning more about the Society for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Nova Scotians (SDHHNS) and the programs and services available for people in Nova Scotia.
