Tools for Handling Emotions and Reaching Goals

Want to learn how to handle whatever life throws your way? This program is designed to help learners develop essential self-management skills. Through interactive activities and discussions, participants will gain valuable insights into managing their emotions, thoughts, and behaviours in various situations while working towards achieving their goals.

In this program, you will have opportunities to:

  • Understand the motives behind behaviour through self-reflection strategies
  • Develop and apply self-regulation and coping strategies
  • Explore concepts of motivation and perseverance in goal setting
  • Create effective strategies for setting and achieving goals

Program Details

  • Grades: 
    • Early Elementary (Primary/Kindergarten-2)
    • Upper Elementary (3-5)
    • Middle School (6-8)
    • High School (9-12)
  • Language: English with ASL translation available
  • Dates:
    • Tuesdays, November 12, 19, 26, December  3, 10
    • Wednesdays, November 13, 20, 27, December 4, 11
    • Thursdays, November 14, 21, 28, December 5, 12
  • Time: TBD based on learner groupings
  • Program Length: 5 weeks

Program Registration

Online learning programs for children and youth are designed for students who qualify for APSEA services and registration must be completed by the student's APSEA Educational Support Teacher (EST) / itinerant teacher.
