A Returning Favorite!
Back by popular demand, our year-long Braille Clubs are once again bringing braille readers from across the Atlantic provinces together to celebrate all things braille!
In both clubs, students will connect with peers who are learning or already using the braille code. Each group offers a welcoming space that encourages braille literacy in an inclusive, collaborative, social, and flexible learning environment. The program runs throughout the year, with all materials provided to students in advance.
Learners in this program will have opportunities to:
- Strengthen braille literacy skills
- Explore and interpret different types of tactile graphics
- Enhance social interaction skills
- Grow in confidence and self-advocacy as a person who uses braille
- Experience a sense of community and belonging
Audience: Learners who are blind and low vision
Facilitator: Lesley Anthony, Program Consultant/Specialist with BLV Mentors
