Intended Audience: Learners at any grade level who are blind or visually impaired and who use spoken language and/or AAC
Are you looking to level up your conversation skills? Maybe you’re not sure how to start a conversation or what you should even talk about. Join us and your peers from across Atlantic Canada for a fun four week program where you will learn and practice strategies to boost your conversation skills so you can connect with others confidently.
Learners in this program will have the opportunity to:
- Learn strategies for initiating, sustaining, and ending a conversation
- Practice using these strategies within a small supportive group
- Learn how nonverbal communication impacts the message

Elementary - Kindergarten/Primary to Grade 5
Wednesdays (November 13, 20, 27, December 4)
9:45 to 10:30 a.m. (AST) / 10:15 to 11:00 a.m. (NST)
TalkWise
Middle / High School - Grades 6 to 12
Wednesdays (November 13, 20, 27, December 4)
10:45 to 11:30 a.m. (AST) / 11:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (NST)
Requirements: Learners will need a quiet place to participate (or headphones) and a device to connect to the Zoom meeting.
