Are you a teacher or school staff supporting learners who are Deaf or hard of hearing? Ready to build stronger connections with your students through sign language?
Join our fun and friendly 4-week online ASL sessions! Our expert first language staff will guide you step-by-step. You'll learn essential signs and phrases to use in the classroom and beyond to create a more inclusive and welcoming environment.
Each week, we'll have group lessons and small group practice. You'll get tips, tricks, and lots of opportunities to practice in a warm and supportive environment! No previous experience is required.
Participants in this program will have opportunities to practice:
- Greetings and checking on a student (good morning, what's wrong?)
- Safety and emergency signs (fire alarm, lock down)
- Transitions (zip up your coat, line up)
- Directions on the playground (beyond NO! and STOP!)
