This asynchronous program is designed to support learners who are Deaf/hard of hearing, along with families and school teams, in preparing for employment and independent living.
Through monthly, self-paced content, participants will have opportunities to explore essential skills, resources, and planning tools that support transition beyond school. The guide is organized into clear, step-by-step sections that build confidence and promote readiness for adult life. The overall goal of this program is to provide accessible, practical guidance that supports informed decision-making and long-term success.
Instructional approaches include flexible access to materials, structured monthly topics, and a focus on real-life application. Content is designed to be accessible and relevant, allowing participants to engage at their own pace and revisit information as needed.
Through this guide, participants will have opportunities to:
- Explore key topics related to employment, independence, and life after school
- Access step-by-step resources and tools to support planning and decision-making
- Build confidence in preparing for transitions to adult life
- Engage with materials at their own pace in a flexible, self-directed format
