Letter to Families of Children/Students on the APSEA Caseload

( View ASL )

June 28, 2021

Dear families of children/students on the APSEA caseload,

It is hard to believe that we are at the end of another school year already. I hope this message finds you and your family well. Throughout this school year, we continued to face pandemic-related changes and challenges at varying degrees in education across Atlantic Canada. We want to commend the students, families, staff, and school communities for navigating this challenging time. Once again, this year prevented us from coming together in person. I do hope that the online learning interactions were positive for your children.

We know that this year posed many challenges for children and youth on the APSEA caseload, and we are so proud of their ability to accept those challenges with positivity and perseverance. Thank you for always encouraging and supporting them.

It is always a pleasure for all of us at APSEA to support your children, and I acknowledge the significant role you play in their learning. I want to congratulate the graduates of 2021. Finishing high school is a cause for celebration and we are immensely proud of you. Please stay in touch. We always love to hear from former students.

Have a safe and happy summer.

Thank you once again,

Lisa Doucet
Superintendent
