Reg Dunphy wearing a grey sweater with a tie and blue shirt holding a plaqueReg Dunphy, APSEA Audiologist, was recently honored by the Speech Pathology and Audiology Association (SPAA) of Nova Scotia. Reg was awarded the SPAA Recognition Award for 2017 at the annual general meeting on October 27, 2017. APSEA colleague, Cindy Millar, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Consultant, submitted a letter of nomination in which she outlined Reg’s role and expertise as a valued member of the APSEA team, fulfilling a unique role as an audiologist within an educational milieu.

Reg has been in the forefront of audiology practice with several initiatives such as Functional Listening Evaluation (FLE) and his support of the professions through his role as lecturer with Mount Saint Vincent University. Reg was commended on his outstanding clinical skills with the students he assesses and the insights he shares with students’ educational teams.
