Are you interested in learning about effective literacy instruction for learners who are Deaf or hard of hearing and use ASL? If so, join our expert staff for an informative session about the Bedrock curriculum. Our staff will outline the general components of the curriculum as well as discuss why using a visually based rather than a sound-based phonological system can lead to greater literacy success for your young learner! Let’s learn how to create a strong literacy foundation and inspire lifelong readers!

Participants in this program will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn about The Bedrock Literacy Curriculum
  • Understand the difference between traditional sound-based phonological systems and Bedrock
  • Learn why a visual language lends itself naturally to a visually based reading system
