Event Details

Audience: Learners in grades 9 to 12 (a.m./p.m.), parents and caregivers 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. (AST) and optional bowling.

Finding Your Way Series is a joint program offered through CNIB and APSEA and designed specifically for learners from Grades 9 to 12 to support their preparation for life after high school. In the winter session, topics include volunteering, orientation and mobility (guide dogs and white canes), and work experiences shared by adult volunteers.

Snacks and lunch will be provided. We are asking participants to bring a water bottle.

Support for travel is available in the form of gas cards.

In the morning, learners will travel to a senior's residence in Charlottetown for volunteering via public transit and Taxi. Parents are invited to attend an afternoon session with adult volunteers from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. (AST).

There is an option for all participants to stay for bowling with the adult volunteers from 3:00 to 4:45 p.m. (AST).
