The following practices are in place at the APSEA Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia:
The Security Desk in the Residence Building (5944 South Street) will receive all visitors and issue visitor and parking passes. Once visitors have completed necessary screening protocols and obtained any required passes, the APSEA employee they are here to see will be contacted and will meet them at the Security Desk. All visitors should pre-arrange their visit.
APSEA's main phone line (902-424-8500) has an auto-attendant system where callers have options to select a variety of Departments. These options are:
1 - Hearing aids, batteries or other audiology needs
2 - Matters relating to Deaf or hard of hearing (DHH) including scholarships and bursaries or to reach the Autism in Education partnership
3 - Matters relating to blind or visually impaired (BVI) including scholarships and bursaries
4 - Accounts payable or accounts receivable
5 - Human resources
6 - Information Technology helpdesk
7 - Payroll
8 - Library reference desk
9 - Office of the Superintendent
0 - All other matters (this option transfers callers to the Security Desk)
