In Focus: A Time for Learning and Connecting

Intended Audience: Families and caregivers of learners who are blind or visually impaired

Whether you are new to the world of vision impairment or have been traveling that journey for some time, you may have questions about how to best support your child’s needs. Join APSEA team members and other families on the second Tuesday each month for information and resources relevant to raising a child who is blind or visually impaired. Each session will combine informative content with practical strategies and provide an opportunity to connect.

Join us to explore the range of services we offer to support learners who are blind or visually impaired, their families, and caregivers, and school teams. Learn about how our various APSEA team members work collaboratively with families, community partners, and school teams to meet the unique needs of our learners.

Accessible Holidays

‘Tis the season for festive fun with family and friends! Join us as we discuss ways to create holidays that are a feast for the senses! We will share ideas on multi-sensory seasonal activities, gifts that may appeal to learners who are visually impaired, and tips for navigating the hustle and bustle of the season. Whether you're looking to make cherished memories or find ideas for meaningful gifts, our aim is to help you create holidays that are inclusive and unforgettable!

Facilitators: Sessions will be hosted by various members of our APSEA team and may include invited guests.
