Why Pick Just One!? A Discussion on Bimodal Communication

Do you have a little one in your life who is Deaf or hard of hearing? Are you interested in exposing them to both spoken and sign language but looking for more information from someone with lived experience? Join us for a discussion on bimodal communication as we explore ways to help facilitate both languages in your home and life.

In this program, you will have opportunities to:

  • Ask questions in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
  • Learn some of the benefits of bimodal communication.
  • Discuss different modes of communication and how modality may change according to situational need.

Program Details

  • Day/Time: Wednesday, November 20 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. (AST) / 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. (NT)
  • Program Length: 1 session
  • Language: English with ASL translation interpretation
