(ASL Translation)

Have you participated in ASL for Families before? Are you looking to expand your ASL skills in a relaxed and welcoming environment? Join us for ASL for Families: Part 3! Using the American Sign Language at Home: A Family Curriculum as a reference, participants will learn how to incorporate language into their daily routines through the guidance of Deaf Mentors. Sessions in this series may include topics such as daily routines, family time together – both indoors and outdoors, and cleaning up.

In this program, participants will have opportunities to:

  • Meet and learn from Educational Support Specialists - Deaf Mentor.
  • Learn amongst peers in a relaxed environment fostering connection and community.
  • Build signing skills relevant to daily routines and language.

Program Details

  • Language: ASL with English interpretation
  • Session Times:
    • Participants have 3 sessions to choose from:
      • Monday Evenings
      • Tuesday Lunchtime
      • Tuesday Evenings
    • *Sessions begin the week of January 13th and run weekly to the end of February.
  • Program Length: 6 to 7 weeks (depending on day and overlapping Holidays)
  • Facilitators: Education Support Specialists - Deaf Mentor (ESS-Deaf Mentor)
